A Diagnostic Analysis of Damaged Housing in Tirana as the First Step in the Restoration Process

This project marks a significant milestone in the application of restoration material theories, as we embarked on an exploratory survey in Tirana, aimed at identifying and examining damaged dwellings to conduct a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of degradation and alterations present. This diagnostic process signifies the initial phase of our restoration project and represents a turning point in our understanding of the intricate dynamics affecting the city's architectural heritage. During our inspection in Tirana, we applied heritage conservation theories and methods, using the field-collected information to identify degradation processes, underlying causes, and specific alterations affecting the damaged dwellings. Our work in Tirana lays the foundation for targeted interventions that will not only preserve the city's architectural heritage but also contribute to restoring its beauty and historical significance.

In this case, we must diagnose the water typology shown by the natural factors that caused those damages.
